This manufacturing process is ideal when surface structures or the highest geometric demands are placed on the final tool/product, which conventional milling technology can produce only to a lower standard.

With this method, a maximum gain in surface optics and haptics can be achieved.

Advantages:

• A large flexibility as starting point for production. Basis for the electrodes are cad-data, models, real parts, prototypes or stereolitographic manufactured parts.
• Highest reproduction of the surface and consequently a precise transfer of information to the steel tool. The naturalness of the surface is significant, because haptic and optic have a decisive effect.
• The homogeneous and fancy grain structure of the electrode effects an optimal result. That especially is true of high conductivity and life time.
• Short throughput time, costumer-specific definition of wall thickness and rear construction are realisable and bid highest flexibility.
